Competition Terms

Ultimate Lake District Christmas Present – Sunday 7th December to Sunday 14th December

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is On In The Lakes (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Eligibility

  • The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • Employees of On In The Lakes, prize partners, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  • An Instagram account is required.

3. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

  1. Follow @oninthelakes on Instagram
  2. Tag at least one friend in the comments on the competition post
  3. Share the post to their Instagram Story for an extra entry (optional)

All steps must be completed on the original competition post.

4. Entry Period

  • The competition opens when the promotional post is published.
  • It closes at 18:00 on Sunday 14 December.
  • Entries submitted after the closing time will not be counted.

5. The Prize

One winner will receive the following prize bundle:

  • A cookbook gift bag with reserves and festive recipe ideas from Hawkshead Relish
  • Four tickets to see Wizard of Oz at Theatre by the Lake, valid for performances up to 11 January
  • A 2-night stay in a Rydal Woodland Cabin at Rydal Hall
  • A £100 voucher for Go Ape Grizedale
  • A Home Spa Body and Face set with cosmetic bag from Pure Lakes

Prize elements are subject to availability and the individual terms of each prize provider. Travel, food, and any other expenses are not included unless stated.

6. Winner Selection

  • One winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries.
  • The draw will take place within 72 hours of the competition closing.
  • The winner will be contacted by direct message from the official @oninthelakes Instagram account only.

7. Claiming the Prize

  • The winner must respond within 48 hours of being contacted.
  • If the winner does not respond in time, we reserve the right to draw another winner.
  • Prize details will then be arranged directly with the winner. Some elements may require the winner’s contact details to be shared with prize partners.

8. General Terms

  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram.
  • Entrants release Instagram from all responsibility.
  • We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entries we believe are inappropriate, incomplete or created using false accounts.
  • No cash alternative is available. The prize is non-transferable.
  • By entering, participants accept these Terms and Conditions.

9. Data Protection

  • Personal data will be used only for administering the competition and arranging the prize.
  • Data will not be shared beyond the prize partners listed above unless required for prize fulfilment.
  • All data will be handled in line with UK data protection law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
