Inside the Lake District distillery where you can make your own spirits!

Launched by marital team, Andy and Zoe Arnold-Bennett in 2016, Ulverston-based Shed One produce award winning craft gins & vodkas using traditional, locally grown botanicals – their first creation being Cuckold’s Revenge.

Starting life in Andy & Zoe’s garden shed, the business later moved to The Old Calf Shed, where the opened to the public and won Cumbria Tourism’s Experience of The Year.

On selected Sundays throughout the year, Andy & Zoe host “Make Your Own Spirit Experience” days, where an intimate group of visitors are guided through the whole spirit creation process from choosing between a choice of over 40 botanicals to finding the perfect alcoholic percentage. The experience sessions have become so popular that even now, for the rest of 2025, there is only limited availability. Click here if you’d like to find out more.
